About CCDI
 

Centre for Cocoa Development Initiative
The Centre for Cocoa Development Initiative is set up by a group of professionals with the goal of impacting positively on the Nigeria cocoa industry.
 
The Vision of the CCDI is to Provide an engagement platform for the articulation of cocoa policies and programmes and proffer options for sustainable development in the industry.
 
To achieve this vision CCDI acts to
  • build awareness among producers and traders on industry regulations
  • actively engage traders on regulations and malpractices
  • work with organizations to establish regular topic-specific training regimes
  • support community based initiatives
  • disseminate information and report on progress
  • encourage partnerships among producers, industry and regulatory agencies
The Board of the Initiative is led by Dr. Victor Iyama, chairman of the Board of Trustees of Cocoa Association of Nigeria and immediate past chairman of the International Cocoa Organisation based in London. He is also the National President of Federation of Agricultural Commodity Associations of Nigeria, FACAN.
Other members are : Prince Emmanuel Ajayi, Managing Director of Swiss Biostadt (Syngenta) Nigeria Limited;
Ntufam Gabriel Oji, Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party in Cross River State;
Mr. Michael Ogodo, Managing Director of International Transactions Limited, Calabar;
Mr. Akin Olusuyi, Managing Director of Cocoa Products (Ile-Oluji) Ltd;
Mr. Sayina Riman, Managing Director of Greensource Nigeria Limited and Secretary, Cross River State Cocoa Rehabilitation Committee
Mr. Oghenerobo Adhuze, Managing Director of Precious Pearls Communications, Akure He is the Chief Operating Officer of CCDI
